Verse tags

Verse tags are labels you attach to specific verses (for example “Prayer”, “Healing”, “Memorize”). You can manage tags per verse, create new tags with colors, and optionally show tag chips in the Bible text when the setting is enabled.

The manage-tags dialog is scrollable; tag rows and color pickers use full width.

  • Turn on Show verse tags in Bible settings so assigned tags appear beside or under verses in the chapter.
Tablet and desktop

On tablet and desktop you see more tags at once; creating or editing a tag still uses the same dialog.

  • Tag lists elsewhere in the app (for example filtered verse lists) follow the same tag database.

Show tags in the Bible

Open panel settings for the Bible panel, Bible tab, and enable Show verse tags. The subtitle in the app explains that this displays tags assigned to verses. You can turn it off to reduce visual clutter while still keeping tag assignments.

Open “Manage verse tags” for one verse

  1. Tap the verse number to open the verse menu.
  2. Choose Manage verse tags.
  3. The dialog lists every tag you have created. Tags already applied to this verse are indicated; tap to toggle a tag on or off for that verse.

Create, edit, or delete tags

  • New tag — from the manage dialog, create a tag with a name and pick a color from the palette.
  • Edit tag — change name or color for an existing tag (updates apply wherever that tag is used).
  • Remove from verse — toggling off in the list removes that tag from the current verse only.

Tag data is stored in your user data; if you use sync, changes propagate according to your sync configuration.
