Highlighting verses
You can highlight in two main ways: whole verse (from the verse menu) or selected text inside the Bible panel (drag to select, then use the selection toolbar or overflow menu).

Selection handles can be small—zoom the Bible text if your module supports pinch zoom, or use paragraph spacing from Bible settings for easier taps.
- The selection toolbar is compact: Copy, Highlight, and More (⋯).
Tablet and desktop
The same selection toolbar appears near the selection; mouse or trackpad drag precisely defines start and end within a verse or across verses.
- After highlighting, the web view updates in place; other linked panels are unaffected unless you use a feature that targets them.
1. Whole verse (verse menu)
- Tap the verse number to open the verse menu.
- Choose Highlight.
- The app prepares that verse for marking and opens the highlight style UI (choose color and style options shown there).
This path is intended for a full verse at once.
2. Partial verse or precise span (text selection)
- In the Bible text, drag to select the words or span you want (your module may also support double-tap gestures to start selection—see your module’s behavior).
- A floating bar appears with: Copy, Highlight, and More actions (⋯).
- Tap Highlight to open the same style selector for the selected range.
From More actions, you can also:
- Copy or highlight (duplicate paths),
- Search in Bible for the selected text,
- Clear highlights when the selection overlaps an existing highlight (when that option appears).
Tips
- Whole-verse highlights and selection highlights are stored in the user document layer; they sync with your normal sync settings if you use cloud sync.
- If Highlight seems inactive, confirm you selected text inside the Bible web view, not only the verse number.
